Create your organization
Set up your business in Spheyas — the name, form and type of the organization, its preferences, and everything that exists once it is saved.
Your organization is the container everything else lives in: documents, ledgers, taxes, users and settings. Creating it is the first thing to do after signing up.
The form
Choose New organization and fill in:
- Name — how the business appears on documents and reports.
- Form — Individual, Sole Proprietor, Partnership, Corporation, Limited Liability Company, Co-operative or Non-Profit.
- Type — Personal, Services, Merchandising, Manufacturing or Hybrid. This decides which default chart of accounts you start with.
- Logo — optional, shown on your documents.
- Registered address — the address printed on invoices.
Under Preferences, set the Country, Currency, Language, Timezone and Date format. These drive how amounts and dates appear everywhere.
What exists after you save
Saving does more than record the form:
- You are added as the owner, and this organization becomes the one you land in when you log in.
- A branch called Main Branch is created.
- A full chart of accounts is seeded, matched to the Type you chose — see Your chart of accounts.
- Default settings are created so documents and taxes work out of the box.
More than one organization
You can run several organizations under one login. The most recently created one becomes the default that opens after login, and you can switch between them at any time. Deleting an organization is soft — nothing is destroyed instantly — and the default moves to one of your remaining organizations.
