The activity log
What the activity log records, where the plan boundaries are, and how to switch it on.
The activity log is the answer to "who changed that?" It records actions — who did what, to which document, and when — with a timestamp.
What it covers
Each document carries a log of its own actions on every plan. On Premium, the log covers the whole organization in one place, with export.
Switching it on
Activity logging is a setting on your organization. With it on, changes are recorded; with it off, there is no trail. If knowing who changed the books matters to you — and it usually does once more than one person has a login — switch it on and leave it on.
