Portal messaging and acknowledgements
On Premium, your customer can accept or reject a shared document, message you back, and confirm with a one-time code.
On every plan, a shared document lets your customer view it and download the PDF. On Premium, the shared page can also hold a conversation and a decision.
Accept or reject
Your customer can accept or reject the document from the shared page — no account, no login. You see the decision on the document, so a quote stops being "hopefully they liked it" and becomes a recorded yes or no.
Message you back
The shared page has a message box. The customer's reply comes to you with the document attached to it, and the thread stays on the document rather than scattered through email.
Require a one-time code
If you want a stronger record of who accepted, you can require a one-time code by email before an acceptance counts. The customer enters the code from their inbox, and the acceptance then carries their email address with it.
Everything is logged
Every view, download and acknowledgement is recorded with a timestamp — so you can see whether a quote was actually opened before you chase it, and prove what was agreed and when.
The basics of sharing itself are in Share a document with a customer.
